we
will
choose
smaller
towns
near
Cologne/Bonn/Frankfurt/Nuremberg,
in
East
Bavaria,
the
Passau
area
or
in
the
Black
Forest
and
others.
Itinerary:
Home Stay
with German families in a small friendly town. One visit to a morning
school,
visit
to
a
youth
center,
reception
by
mayor,
2
excursions
to
places
of
interest
in
the area, social evening with families.
The location
depends
on
area
requested
and
on
availability
of
host
families
(as
most
families are absent from home during vacation periods).
The
families
are
carefully
selected
by
local
representatives
who
work
on
behalf
of
the German
organisers.
They
see
to
it
that
only
hospitable
families
are
chosen
who
will
take good
care
of
their
guests.
That
way
everyone
feels
at
home.
While
staying
with
German
families
the
young
visitors
from
abroad
will
be
able
to
gather
firsthand
information
about the way
of
life
and
customs
in
another
country.
(If
they
speak
German
already,
they
can
practise
the
language
every
day.
If
not,
one
member
of
the
family
will
speak English.)
Home
Stay
Programmes
can
be
combined
with
Language
Courses
or
normal
attendance
of
school
together
with
your
host's
child
to
learn
or
improve
the
knowledge
of
foreign
language.
